Home Learning Resources: Lockdown Two

Family Quiz: How well do you know your teachers?

Knowledge Organisers

Please find links above to your child’s Knowledge Organiser for this term. The Knowledge Organiser is a summary of the key facts, essential knowledge and vocabulary that your child will need to know for their main unit of work.  Research suggests that pupils who know more about a topic learn more about a topic and therefore it is beneficial for pupils to approach learning activities if they already have some prior knowledge. We hope that you find the Knowledge Organiser a useful talking and learning point for you and your child at home. The document is a reference point only. However, if you would like to share anything that your child has completed / learnt at home linked to the Knowledge Organiser, their class teachers would love to hear from you!

All the videos and resources from the Initial Lockdown in April 2020 can be accessed here. This material may still be very valuable. Click above to view and download the activities.

Click on the buttons to the left to read our key documentation relating to Home Learning. We will ensure that your children receive the highest quality education whether they are in school or working from home.

The buttons above are labelled with each year group and resources are updated daily and weekly to reflect the learning that is taking place in school. Please contact your child’s Class Teacher if you have any questions.

We are working hard to provide every family with high quality teaching and learning and welcome any feedback regarding any of our approaches.

Home Learning Explained:

Reading is a high curriculum priority, as it unlocks success to the whole of the curriculum and is an important ‘life-skill’, which should be nurtured and developed whilst promoting enjoyment. Please continue to read frequently with your child at home. As a direct result of parent feedback, we have now purchased Bug Club so that your children can access reading books matched to their phonetic ability, online! Please click the link to the left!

Our wonderful staff share some of their favourites in the ‘Story Corner’. These are regularly updated and are our very own version of the Cbeebies Bedtime Story!
